I just watched a part of the popular series “Tue Blood” and well it’s not my cup of tea because I am more of a soapies kinda girl .As I watched I couldn’t help but feel that whoever is responsible for coming up with this whole vampires stories almost wants us to accept them as normal and should be acceptable in our societies. As I take a trip down memory lane vampires were almost like a myth, only active in the night and would usually come out on a full moon or something like that. Like a dose of medicine they have little by little managed to twick the myth and manage to find their niche into making these vampires start interacting with the normal man on the street. They started off with day walkers now it’s like they have a place in society and should be accepted.
Just the other day I found my daughter watching “my baby sitter is a vampire” on a popular children’s channel. I was taken aback because it’s bad enough we have this twilight saga doing its rounds and making people stay glued to their screens but now they are bringing children into the craze. What bothers me the most is that because children are so easily taken by anything they will have these vampire beliefs embed in their heads at such tender ages such that by the time they grow it will be hard to convince them otherwise.
Some people will choose to differ with me but this is my opinion and I will stand by it. THINGS FROM THE DARK SIDE SHOULD STAY IN THE DARK!!!!!!!!!!
